Google ออก Chrome 4.1.249.1064 for Windows ซึ่งถือเป็น Stable Update เวอร์ชันใหม่ล่าสุด ออกเมื่อวันที่ 27 เมษายน 2553 โดยเวอร์ชันใหม่ล่าสุดนี้มีการแก้ไขบั๊ก (Bug) และปัญหาเรื่องความปลอดภัย (Security Fixes) หลายอย่างที่พบในเวอร์ชัน 4.1.249.1045 ตามรายละเอียดด้านล่าง

หมายเหตุ: bug 40445 นั้นถูกค้นพบโดย Jordi Chancel และได้เงินรางวัลจาก Google จำนวน $1,000, bug 40487 นั้นถูกค้นพบโดย kDavid Bloom of Google Security Team และ bug 42294 นั้นถูกค้นพบโดย wushi of team509 และได้เงินรางวัลจาก Google จำนวน $500
การดาวน์โหลดและการติดตั้ง Google Chrome 4.1.249.1064
Google Chrome 4.1.249.1064 นั้นสามารถทำงานได้บน Windows XP, Windows Vista และ Windows 7 โดยวิธีการติดตั้งนั้น โดยทั่วไปสามารถแบ่งออกได้เป็น 3 กรณี ดังต่อไปนี้

กรณีที่ 2 ยังไม่มีการติดตั้ง Google Chrome อยู่บนเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ สามารถดาวน์โหลดโปรแกรมติดตั้ง Google Chrome จากเว็บไซต์ Download Google Chrome 4.1.249.1064 มาทำการติดตั้งด้วยตนเอง
กรณีที่ 3 มีการติดตั้ง Google Chrome เวอร์ชัน 4.0.249.1059 หรือ เวอร์ชันก่อนหน้าบนเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์อยู่ก่อนแล้ว สามารถทำการอัพเดทเป็นเวอร์ชัน 4.1.249.1064 ได้ตามขั้นตอนดังนี้
1. เปิดโปรแกรม Google Chrome จากนั้นคลิกที่ไอคอนรูปเครื่องมือ แล้วเลือกคำสั่ง About Google Chrome

2. ในหน้าไดอะล็อกบ็อกซ์ About Google Chrome ให้คลิก Update Now แล้วรอจนโปรแกรมทำการติดตั้งแล้วเสร็จ
3. ในหน้าไดอะล็อกบ็อกซ์ Please close all Chrome windows and restart Chrome for this change to take effect ให้คลิก OK
4. ในหน้าไดอะล็อกบ็อกซ์ About Google Chrome ให้คลิก OK อีกครั้ง
5. ทำการรีสตาร์ทโปรแกรม Google Chrome เพื่อให้การเปลี่ยนแปลงมีผล
