Hiren's BootCD เป็นซีดีที่รวบรวมโปรแกรมเครื่องมือต่างๆ สำหรับใช้ในตรวจสอบ แก้ไข และบำรุงรักษาคอมพิวเตอร์และระบบวินโดวส์ โดย Hiren's BootCD 10.4 นี้ออกเมื่อวันที่ 7 เมษายน 2553 เพื่อแก้ปัญหาการเกิดจอฟ้า BSOD 0x0000007E เมื่อทำการบูทจาก USB ในบางระบบ โดยปัญหาเกิดจากไดรเวอร์ iastor.sys เวอร์ชัน 9.6 ทั้งนี้ ทางทีมผู้พัฒนาได้ทำการดาวน์เกรดเป็นเวอร์ชัน 8.9 แทน

ใน Hiren's BootCD 10.4 ได้ทำการดาวน์เกรดไดรเวอร์ iastor.sys จากเวอร์ชัน 9.6 เป็น 8.9 เนื่องจากมีรายงานว่าไดรเวอร์เวอร์ชัน 9.6 นั้นทำให้เกิด BSOD 0x0000007E บนเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์บางรุ่นเมื่อทำการบูืระบบจาก USB รวมถึงการปรับปรุงดังนี้
