ดาวน์โหลด Firefox 16.0 Final ได้แล้ว

โมซิลล่าออก Firefox 16.0.1 เพื่อแก้ปัญหากลไกการตรวจสอบความปลอดภัยไม่ทำงาน (11 ต.ค. 55) อ่านรายละเอียดได้ที่ ดาวน์โหลด Firefox 16.0.1

โมซิลล่าออก Firefox 16.0 Final อย่างเป็นทางการแล้ว โดยในเวอร์ชันล่าสุดนี้มีคุณลักษณะใหม่สำหรับผู้ใช้ทั่วไปได้แก่ การสนับสนุน Web App ในเวอร์ชันสำหรับ Windows, Mac OS และ Linux, การสนับสนุน VoiceOver ในเวอร์ชันสำหรับ Mac OS X และเพิ่มการสนับสนุนภาษา Acholi และ Kazakh สำหรับนักพัฒนาจะมี Developer Toolbar แบบใหม่ซึ่งเป็นเครื่องมือแบบบรรทัดคำสั่ง (Command Line) ที่ใช้งานจากคีย์บอร์ดได้ง่ายและเร็วขึ้น และยังยกเลิกปรีฟิกส์ (unprefixed) คุณลักษณะ CCS ที่เสถียรแล้วหลายตัว เช่น CSS3 Animations, Transitions, Transforms และ Gradients เป็นต้น

นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการปรับปรุงระบบจัดการหน่วยความจำให้มีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้นซึ่งทำให้ใช้หน่วยความจำลดลง ปรับปรุงบิลด์-อิน PDF reader ให้ทำงานได้ดีขึ้น, เพิ่มการไฮไลต์เมื่อทำการพิมพ์ยูอาร์แอลในแถบที่อยู่ และยังแก้ปัญหาเกี่ยวกับความปลอดภัยที่อาจทำให้ผู้ใช้เสี่ยงต่อการโดนโจมตีจากมัลแวร์จำนวน 14 ปัญหา ในจำนวนนี้เป็นปัญหาความปลอดภัยรุนแรงขั้นวิกฤต 11 ปัญหา และเป็นปัญหาความปลอดภัยรุนแรงสูง 3 ปัญหา

การอัพเดท Firefox 16.0 Final
สำหรับผู้ที่ใช้ Firefox 15.0.1 หรือเก่ากว่าสามารถทำการอัพเดทเป็น Firefox 16.0 ได้โดยจากหน้าต่างโปรแกรม Firefox ให้คลิก Firefox Button จากนั้นเลื่อนเคอร์เซอร์เม้าส์ไปชี้บน Help (หรือกดปุ่ม Alt แล้วคลิกเมนู Help) จากนั้นคลิก About Firefox แล้วคลิก Check for Updates รอจนโปรแกรมทำงานแล้วเสร็จจากนั้นให้คลิก Apply Update ซึ่งจะเป็นการรีสตาร์ทโปรแกรม Firefox เพื่อให้การอัพเดทเสร็จสมบูรณ์

Developer:

New Developer Toolbar with buttons for quick access to tools, error count for the Web Console, and a new command line for quick keyboard access.
CSS3 Animations, Transitions, Transforms and Gradients unprefixed in Firefox 16.
Recently opened files list in Scratchpad implemented.

Fixed:

Debugger breakpoints do not catch on page reload (783393).
No longer supporting MD5 as a hash algorithm in digital signatures (650355).
Opus support by default (772341).
Reverse animation direction has been implemented (655920).
Per tab reporting in about:memory (687724).
User Agent strings for pre-release Firefox versions now show only major version (728831).
