กูเกิลออก Google Chrome 9.0.597.107 เวอร์ชันเสถียรสำหรับระบบปฏิบัติการ Windows, Mac, Linux และ Chrome Frame ในวันที่ 28 กุมภาพันธ์ 2554 เพื่อแก้ 19 ประเด็นปัญหาความปลอดภัย ซึ่งนับเป็นการแก้ไขปัญหาด้านความปลอดภัย (Security Fixes) ครั้งใหญ่ที่สุดของ Google Chrome โดยมี 16 ประเด็นที่มีความร้ายแรงสูง (High) และมี 3 ประเด็นที่มีความร้ายแรงระดับกลาง (Medium) ตามรายละเอียดใน การแก้ปัญหาด้านความปลอดภัยใน Google Chrome 9.0.597.107 ด้านล่าง
ดังนั้น เพื่อให้การท่องอินเทอร์เน็ตด้วย Google Chrome เป็นไปด้วยความปลอดภัยผมขอแนะนำผู้ใช้เวอร์ชัน 9.0.597.98 หรือเก่ากว่า ให้ทำการอัพเดทเป็นเวอร์ชัน 9.0.597.98 ในทันทีที่ทำได้ ครับ
การดาวน์โหลดและการติดตั้ง Google Chrome 9.0.597.107
Google Chrome 9.0.597.107 นั้นสามารถทำงานได้บน Windows XP, Windows Vista และ Windows 7 โดยผู้ใช้ใหม่สามารถติดตั้งโดยใช้เบราเซอร์เปิดไปที่เว็บไซต์ www.google.com/chrome จากนั้นดำเนินการคำสั่งบนจอภาพ หรือดาวน์โหลดตัวติดตั้ง (Offline Standalone Installer) ของ Google Chrome จากเว็บไซต์ Download Google Chrome 9.0.597.107 มาทำการติดตั้งด้วยตนเอง
ในกรณีที่มีการติดตั้ง Google Chrome เวอร์ชัน 9.0.597.98 หรือเก่ากว่าบนเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์อยู่ก่อนแล้ว สามารถทำการอัปเดทเป็นเวอร์ชัน 9.0.597.107 ได้โดยการเปิดคำสั่ง About Google Chrome จากนั้นคลิก Update Now แล้วดำเนินการคำสั่งบนจอภาพจนการติดตั้งแล้วเสร็จ สำหรับรายละเอียดวิธีการติดตั้งและอัพเดท Google Chrome สามารถอ่านได้จากเว็บไซต์ How to install Google Chrome
