Google Nexus S Now Official, coming December 16th to US via BestBuy and T-Mobile, 20th to UK via Carphone Warehouse

Google Nexus S หรือที่เรียกกันสั้นๆ ว่า Nexus S สมาร์ทโฟน (Smartphone) ตัวใหม่ของกูเกิลนั้นเป็นข่าวมาระยะหนึ่งแล้ว และล่าสุดกูเกิลได้แนะนำอย่างเป็นทางการผ่านทางบล็อกในเอนทรี่ Introducing Nexus S with Gingerbread

Nexus S นั้นจะใช้โปรเซสเซอร์ Cortex A8 (Hummingbird) ความเร็ว 1GHz และใช้หน่วยความจำแฟลชแบบ iNAND ขนาด 16GB ส่วนระบบปฏิบัติการนั้นจะใช้ Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) สามารถรองรับการเชื่อมต่อระบบเครือข่ายทั้งแบบ Quad-band GSM (850, 900, 1800, 1900) และ Tri-band HSPA (900, 2100, 1700) รองรับทั้ง HSDPA (7.2Mbps) และ HSUPA (5.76Mbps) รวมถึง Wi-Fi 802.11 n/b/g สามารถใช้สนทนาได้นานถึง 6.7 ชั่วโมงบนระบบ 3G (14 ชั่วโมงบนระบบ 2G) แสตนด์บายได้นาน 17.8 วันบนระบบ 3G (29.7 วันบนระบบ 2G) ตัวเครื่องมีขนาดเพียง 63มม. x 123.9มม. x 10.88มม. และมีน้ำหนักเพียง 129 กรัม

กำหนดการวางจำหน่าย Nexus S พร้อมราคา
กูเกิลจะการวางจำหน่าย Nexus S ทั้งแบบเครื่องเปล่า (Unlocked Nexus S) และพร้อมทั้งสัญญากับผู้ให้บริการ (Carrier-independent) ในสหรัฐอเมริกาตั้งแต่วันที่ 16 ธันวาคม 2553 เป็นต้นไปผ่านทางร้าน Best Buy ส่วนในอังกฤษนั้นจะเริ่มวางจำหน่ายตั้งแต่วันที่ 20 ธันวาคม 2553 เป็นต้นไปผ่านทางร้าน Carphone Warehouse

สำหรับราคานั้น Nexus S เครื่องเปล่า (Unlocked Nexus S) มีราคาอยู่ที่ $529 USD หรือประมาณ 15,870 บาท สำหรับการซื้อเครื่องพร้อมสัญญากับผู้ให้บริการนั้นจะขึ้นอยู่กับผู้ให้บริการ (Service provider) แต่ละราย โดยบริการแบบเสียงและข้อมูล (Voice and Dataplan) ระยะสัญญา 2 ปี ของ T-Mobile นั้นมีราคาอยู่ที่ $199 USD หรือประมาณ 5,970 บาท
