ไมโครซอฟท์เตือนให้ระวังการโจมตีผ่านทาง ActiveX Control
เมื่อวันที่ 14 ตุลาคม 2551 ที่ผ่านมา ไมโครซอฟท์ได้ออก Microsoft Security Advisory หมายเลข 956391 (Microsoft Security Advisory 956391 ) เพื่อแนะนำให้ผู้ใช้ทำการอัพเดท Internet Explorer เพื่อป้องกันการถูกโจมตีผ่านทางช่องโหว่ ActiveX control (หรือ ActiveX Kill Bits) โดยช่องโหว่ ดังกล่าวนี้มีใน Internet Explorer บน Windows 2000 Server, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 และ Windows Server 2008

ทั้งนี้ ไมโครซอฟท์ได้แนะนำให้ผู้ที่ใช้ระบบปฏิบัติการที่ได้รับผลกระทบดังกล่าวนี้ ทำการติดตั้งอัพเดทผ่านทางเว็บไซต์ http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com) เพื่อปิดช่องโหว่นี้

- Windows Vista x64 Edition and Windows Vista x64 Edition Service Pack 1
- Windows Server 2008 for 32-bit Systems*
- Windows Server 2008 for x64-based Systems*
- Windows Server 2008 for Itanium-based Systems
