ไมโครซอฟท์ส่งมอบ Windows Small Business Server 2008 (SBS2008) ให้กับ OEM
เว็บไซต์ mcpmag.com รายงานว่า ไมโครซอฟท์ได้ส่งมอบระบบปฏิบัติการ Windows Small Business Server 2008 (SBS2008) ให้กับ Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) แล้วเมื่อวันที่ 21 สิงหาคมที่ผ่านมา นอกจากนี้ไมโครซอฟท์ได้ประกาศบนเว็บไซต์จะวางจำหน่าย Business Server 2008 เต็มรูปแบบในวันที่ 12 เดือนพฤศจิกายน ที่จะถึงนี้

รุ่นของ Windows Small Business Server 2008
Windows Small Business Server 2008 นั้น จะมีอยู่ด้วยกัน 2 รุ่น (Edition) คือ Standard และ Premium โดยมีรายละเอียดดังนี้

• Windows Small Business Server 2008 Standard จะประกอบด้วยคุณสมบัติต่างๆ ดังนี้
- Windows Server 2008 Standard Technologies
- Microsoft Sharepoint Services 3.0
- Microsoft Windows Server Update Services 3.0
- Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Standard
- Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server
- Microsoft Live OneCare for Server
- Integration with Office Live Small Business

• Windows Small Business Server 2008 Premium
- ในรุ่น Premium นั้น จะรวมเซอร์วิสทั้งหมดจาก Windows Small Business Server 2008 Standard
- Windows Server 2008 Standard Technologies for SBS Premium
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Standard for Small Business

ทั้งนี้ Windows Small Business Server 2008 ทั้งสองรุ่นนั้นผู้ใช้สามารถเลือกไลเซนส์แยกเฉพาะแต่ละผลิตภัณฑ์ หรือเลือกไลเซนส์แบบครอบคลุมทุกๆ ผลิตภัณฑ์ก็ได้
