ปัญหาการตั้งค่าดิสเพลย์บน Windows Vista Service Pack 1
ยูสเซอร์ที่ใช้ระบบปฏิบัติการ Windows Vista บนครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ที่มีการต่อใช้งานมอนิเตอร์มากกว่า 1 ตัว และได้ทำการติดตั้ง Service Pack 1 อาจประสบกับปัญหาไม่สามารถทำการตั้งค่าดิสเพลย์ได้ โดยดิสเพลย์จะกลับไปใช้ค่าเริ่มต้น ซึ่งค่าที่ดิสเพลย์จะกลับไปเป็นค่าเริ่มต้น เช่น

• Default monitor choice setting
• Monitor position setting in a multi-monitor configuration
• Monitor display size setting
• Monitor update setting (monitor refresh rate) and video adapter update setting (video adapter refresh rate)

สำหรับสาเหตุของปัญหาดังกล่าวนี้ เกิดจากไดรเวอร์ของอุปกรณ์บางตัวทำงานไม่เข้ากันกับ Service Pack 1 ดังนั้น หลังจากทำการติดตั้ง Service Pack 1 อาจจะต้องทำการติดตั้งไดรเวอร์ของอุปกรณ์บางตัวใหม่เพื่อให้การทำงานถูกต้อง

การแก้ปัญหาเบื้องต้น
1. คลิก Start พิมพ์ personalization ในช่อง Start Search จากนั้นคลิก Personalization จากในรายการโปรแกรม
2. ภานใต้หัวข้อ Personalize appearance and sounds ให้คลิก Display Settings
3. จากนั้นทำการรีเซ็ต display settings ที่ต้องการ เสร็จแล้วคลิก OK

วิธีการนี้สามารถใช้ได้กับ

Remote Desktop บนระบบปฏิบัติการ Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 และ Windows Server 2008 นั้นจะทำงานบนพอร์ตหมายเลข 3389 โดยดีฟอลท์ แต่เนื่องจากพอร์ตดีฟอลท์นั้นเป็นที่ทราบกันทั่วไป ดังนั้นการเปิดใช้งาน Remote Desktop จึงถือเป็นช่องโหว่ความปลอดภัย เนื่องจากแฮกเกอร์สามารถทำการสแกนระบบเครือข่ายเพื่อค้นหาว่าคอมพิวเตอร์เครื่องใดบ้างที่เปิดให้บริการ Remote Desktop และอาจจะทำการโจมตีระบบผ่านทางพอร์ตดังกล่าวได้

ดังนั้น เพื่อเป็นการเพิ่มความปลอดภัยให้การใช้งาน Remote Desktop และเพื่อป้องกันการโจมตีจากแฮกเกอร์ ควรทำการเปลี่ยนหมายเลขพอร์ตการทำงานของ Remote Desktop เป็นพอร์ตหมายเลขอื่นที่ไม่ใช้ค่าดีฟอลท์ โดยการเปลี่ยนหมายเลขพอร์ตการทำงานของ Remote Desktop มีขั้นตอนดังนี้

ข้อควรระวัง: การแก้ไขรีจิสตรีที่ผิดพลาดอาจทำให้ระบบวินโดวส์ไม่สามารถทำงานได้ ดังนั้นเพื่อให้สามารถทำการเรียกคืนรีจิสตรีได้ในกรณีเกิดปัญหา โปรดสำรองรีจิสตรีและเก็บไว้ในที่ปลอดภัยก่อนลงมือแก้ไข

1. ทำการล็อกออนเข้าระบบวินโดวส์ด้วยแอคเคาท์สมาชิกกลุ่ม Administrator
2. เปิดโปรแกรม Registry editor โดยการคลิก Start คลิก Run พิมพ์ Regedit แล้วกด Enter

5. ในหน้าไดอะล็อกบ็อกซ์ Edit DWORD Value ในส่วน Base เลือกเป็น Decimal และใส่หมายเลขพอร์ตใหม่ที่ต้องการ เช่น 3391 ในช่อง Value data: เสร็จแล้วคลิก OK
6. ปิดโปรแกรม Registry editor เพื่อจบการทำงาน

การเชื่อมต่อกับ Remote Desktop หลังการเปลี่ยนพอร์ต
ในกรณีที่ Remote Desktop ทำงานบนพอร์ตดีฟอลท์ (3389) นั้น เราสามารถทำการเชื่อมต่อโดยเพียงแค่ระบุชื่อหรือหมายเลขไอพีของเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์เท่านั้น แต่หลังจากทำการแก้ไขพอร์ตการทำงานแล้ว การเชื่อมต่อกับ Remote Desktop จะต้องระบุหมายเลขพอร์ตด้วย ตามขั้นตอนดังนี้

1. คลิก Start คลิก All Programs คลิก Accessories คลิก Communications จากนั้นคลิก Remote Desktop Connection
2. ในช่อง Computer พิมพ์ชื่อหรือหมายเลขไอพีของเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ที่ต้องการเชื่อมต่อตามด้วย colon (:) และหมายเลขพอร์ตที่ Remote Desktop ทำงานอยู่

ตัวอย่าง:
เชื่อมต่อกับเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ชื่อ wxp01 หมายเลขไอพี 192.168.1.7 ซึ่ง Remote Desktop ทำงานบนพอร์ตหมายเลข 3391 ให้พิมพ์ในช่อง Computer ดังนี้ wxp01:3391 หรือ 192.168.1.7:3391

3. เสร็จแล้วคลิก Connect เมื่อทำการเชื่อมต่อเสร็จแล้ว ก็สามารถใช้งานได้เหมือนปกติ

การใช้งาน Address Bar บน Windows XP Service Pack 3
โดยประโยชน์ของ Address Bar นั้นช่วยให้สามารถเปิดหน้าเว็บเพจได้โดยไม่ต้องเปิดหน้า Internet Explorer ขึ้นมาก่อน ซึ่งใน Windows XP SP2 หรือเวอร์ชันก่อนหน้า จะสามารถใช้ address bar บน Taskbar (คลิกขวาที่ Taskbar คลิก Toolbars คลิก Address) ได้ แต่ใน Windows XP SP3 ไมโครซอฟท์ได้ตัดฟีเจอร์การใช้ Address Bar บน Taskbar ออก เนื่องจากขัดกับข้อบังคับของ EU

อย่างไรก็ตามสำหรับท่านที่ได้ทำการติดตั้ง SP3 ไปแล้วแต่ยังคงต้องการใช้งาน Address Bar สามารถทำได้โดยทำการก็อปปี้ไฟล์ browserui.dll จาก Windows XP SP2 ทับไฟล์ browserui.dll ที่ติดตั้งโดย SP3 ตามขั้นตอนดังนี้

1. ทำการก็อปปี้ไฟล์ browserui.dll จากเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ที่ใช้ Windows XP SP2 เก็บไว้ที่โฟลเดอร์ C:\temp ของเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ที่ใช้ Windows XP SP3
2. ทำการรีสตาร์ทคอมพิวเตอร์ที่ใช้ Windows XP SP3 เข้า Safe Mode โดยการกด F8 ในระหว่างการบูตเครื่องแล้วเลือก Safe Mode จากอ็อปชันของคอมมานด์พร้อมท์
3. ที่คอมมานด์พร้อมท์ให้พิมพ์คำสั่งดังนี้
xcopy c:browserui.dll c:Windows\System32

4. ทำการรีสตาร์ทคอมพิวเตอร์ที่ใช้ Windows XP SP3 อีกครั้ง
5. เมื่อเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์พร้อมใช้งาน ให้ล็อกออนเข้าเครื่องจากนั้นคลิกขวาที่ Taskbar คลิก Toolbars คลิก Address

Winsock นั้นเป็นองค์ประกอบหนึ่งของการใช้งาน TCP/IP ของวินโดวส์ ในกรณีที่ Winsock เกิดความเสียหายจะส่งผลให้ยูสเซอร์ไม่สามารถใช้งานระบบเครือข่ายหรืออินเทอร์เน็ตได้ โดยวินโดวส์จะแสดงข้อความแจ้งความผิดพลาดเมื่อทำการใช้งานต่างๆ ตามกรณี ดังนี้

ข้อควรระวัง: การแก้ไขรีจิสตรีที่ผิดพลาดอาทำให้ระบบไม่สามารถทำงานได้ ดังนั้นเพื่อให้สามารถทำการเรียกคืนรีจิสตรีได้ในกรณีเกิดปัญหา โปรดสำรองรีจิสตรีและเก็บไว้ในที่ปลอดภัยก่อนลงมือแก้ไข

1. เมื่อทำการรันคำสั่ง Ipconfig /release หรือ Ipconfig /renew วินโดวส์จะแสดงข้อผิดพลาดดังต่อไปนี้:

2. เมื่อทำการรัน ipconfig /renew วินโดวส์จะแสดงข้อผิดพลาดดังต่อไปนี้:

3. เมื่อเปิดโปรแกรม Internet Explorer วินโดวส์จะแสดงข้อผิดพลาดดังต่อไปนี้:

4. เมื่อใช้งานเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ วินโดวส์จะแสดงข้อผิดพลาดดังต่อไปนี้:
Initialization function INITHELPERDLL in IPMONTR.DLL failed to start with error code 10107

5. เมื่อทำการสร้าง dial-up connection วินโดวส์จะแสดงข้อผิดพลาดดังต่อไปนี้:
Error 720: No PPP Control Protocols Configured

6.ใน Device Manager เมื่อคลิก Show Hidden Devices ไดรเวอร์ TCP/IP Protocol Driver มีสถานะเป็น Disabled ในส่วน Non-Plug and Play drivers และได้รับรหัสข้อผิดพลาด 24

การแก้ไขปัญหา Winsock
ก่อนอื่นต้องทำการตรวจสอบการทำงานของ Winsock ก่อนว่ามีปัญหาหรือไม่ โดยวิธีการตรวจสอบว่า Winsock2 เสียหายหรือไม่ ทำได้โดยใช้วิธีการดังต่อไปนี้

ใช้โปรแกรม Msinfo32
การตรวจสอบว่า Winsock2 เสียหายหรือไม่โดยใช้โปรแกรม Msinfo32 มีขั้นตอนดังต่อไปนี้
1. คลิก Start พิมพ์ Msinfo32 ในช่อง Start Search แล้วคลิก OK
2. ในหน้า System Information ให้คลิกขยาย Components ขยาย Network แล้วคลิก Protocol
3. ภายใต้ Protocol จะมีหัวข้อของส่วนต่างๆ 14 หัวข้อ ซึ่งมีชื่อต่างๆ ต่อไปนี้หากคีย์ Winsock2 ไม่ได้รับความเสียหาย:
• MSAFD Tcpip [TCP/IP]

หากชื่อต่างๆ ที่แสดงแตกต่างไปรายการด้านบน แสดงว่าคีย์ Winsock2 เสียหาย หรือถ้าหากมีโปรแกรมเพิ่มเติมอื่นๆ เช่นซอฟต์แวพรอกซี่ติดตั้งไว้ และหากได้ติดตั้งโปรแกรมเพิ่มเติมจากผู้ผลิตอื่นๆ ชื่อของโปรแกรมเพิ่มเติมเหล่านั้ยจะแทนที่อักษร "MSAFD" ในรายการ ในกรณีที่มีมากกว่า 14 หัวข้อในลิสต์ แสดงว่ามีโปรแกรมอื่นๆ ติดตั้งไว้ แต่ถ้าหากมีน้อยกว่า 14 หัวข้อ หมายถึงการที่มีข้อมูลขาดหายไป

หมายเหตุ: รายการต่างๆ เหล่านี้แสดงการติดตั้งเฉพาะเมื่อมีการติดตั้งโปรโตคอล TCP/IP เท่านั้น ดังนั้นสามารถมี Winsock ที่ใช้งานเพิ่มเติมได้หากมีการติดตั้งโปรโตคอลอื่นๆ ไว้ ตัวอย่างเช่น หากติดตั้ง NWLink IPX/SPX ไว้ จะเห็นส่วนเพิ่มเติมอื่นๆ อีก 7 ส่วน ทำให้รวมเป็นทั้งหมด 17 ส่วน โดยส่วนหัวของส่วนหนึ่งในส่วนใหม่ คือ MSAFD nwlnkipx [IPX] และแต่ละส่วนใหม่ที่ถูกสร้างขึ้นโดยการติดตั้ง NWLink IPX/SPX จะเริ่มต้นด้วยชื่อ "MSAFD" โดยมีเพียง 2 หัวข้อเท่านั้นที่ไม่ได้เริ่มต้นชื่อด้วยอักขระต่างๆ เหล่านั้น

หากการทดสอบ Netdiag ล้มเหลว หรือหากผลการตรวจสอบพบว่าเกิดความเสียหายกับ Winsock โดยการดูที่ Msinfo32 จะต้องแก้ไขคีย์ Winsock2 โดยการใช้ขั้นตอนต่างๆ ในส่วนถัดไป

วิธีการแก้ไขปัญหาที่เกิดจากไฟล์ Winsock2 เสีย บน Windows Vista มีขั้นตอนดังนี้

1. คลิก Start แล้วคลิก Network
2. คลิก Network and Sharing Center (สามารถแอคเซส Network and Sharing Center ได้จาก Control Panel ไดเช่นกัน)
3. ในหน้า Network and Sharing Center คลิก Diagnose and Repair

ถ้าผลการตรวจสอบด้วย Network and Diagnostic tool ไม่พบปัญหา ให้ทำการซ่อมแซมหรือรีเซ็ต Winsock แบบแมนนวล

การซ่อมแซมหรือรีเซ็ต Winsock แบบแมนนวล
การซ่อมแซมหรือรีเซ็ต Winsock แบบแมนนวล มีขั้นตอนดังนี้
1. คลิก Start แล้วพิมพ์ cmd ในช่อง Start Search จากนั้นคลิกขวาที่ cmd.exe คลิก Run as administrator
2. ในหน้าไดอะล็อกบ็อกซ์ User Account Control ให้คลิก Continue หรือใส่พาสเวิร์ดของ Administrator
3. ที่คอมมานด์พรอมท์ ให้พิมพ์ netsh winsock reset แล้วกด Enter เมื่อทำงานเสร็จจะแสดงข้อความแจ้งให้ทราบ
4. ปิดคอมมานด์พรอมท์ โดยพิมพ์ Exit แล้วกด Enter

วิธีการนี้สามารถใช้ได้กับ
• Windows Vista Home Basic
• Windows Vista Home Premium
• Windows Vista Ultimate
