กูเกิลโปรโมท Google Chrome 26 ขึ้นเป็นเวอร์ชัน Beta แล้ว โดยเวอร์ชันนี้ได้รับการปรับปรุงระบบตรวจสอบตัวสะกดให้ทำงานได้ดีขึ้นด้วยการปรับปรุงพจนานุกรมใหม่ พร้อมเพิ่มการสนับสนุนภาษาเกาหลี ภาษาทมิฬ และภาษาอัลบาเนียน และผู้ใช้ยังสามารถทำการซิงค์พจนานุกรมระหว่างอุปกรณ์ต่างๆ ได้อีกด้วย

สำหรับผู้ใช้ Google Chrome 26 ที่เปิดใช้งาน Ask Google for suggestions จะสามารถตรวจสอบไวยากรณ์ ไวพจน์ และบริบทในภาษาอังกฤษได้ ซึ่งคุณลักษณะดังกล่าวนี้ใช้เทคโนโลยีเดียวกับที่ใช้ในบริการค้นหาข้อมูลของกูเกิล

สำหรับผู้ใช้ Google Chrome 26 เวอร์ชัน Windows จะมี app launcher (ยังอยู่ในขั้น Developer preview) แบบเดียวกับที่ใช้บน Chromebooks เพื่อใช้เปิดแอพจากภายนอกเบราเซอร์ซึ่งช่วยให้ผู้ใช้สามารถเข้าถึงแอพที่ต้องการได้สะดวกรวดเร็วโดยไม่ต้องเสียเวลาเปิดเบราเซอร์ อย่างไรก็ตาม ผู้ใช้จะต้องทำการติดตั้งแอพจาก Google Play ก่อนจึงจะสามารถเปิดใช้งานแอพจาก app launcher ได้ นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการสร้างไอคอนลัดสำหรับเปิด Google Chrome สำหรับผู้ใช้แต่ละคน (Multiple profiles) และปรับปรุงอินเทอร์เฟชของเมนูต่างๆ อีกด้วย
