ดาวน์โหลด Firefox 21 Final ได้แล้ว, เพิ่มตัวเลือกการตั้งค่า Tracking, ขยายการสนับสนุน Social API, ประมวลผลกราฟิกเร็วขึ้น

โมซิลล่าออก Firefox 21 เวอร์ชันเต็ม (Final) อย่างเป็นทางการแล้ว การเปลี่ยนแปลงสำคัญในเวอร์ชันนี้ คือ ปรับปรุงความเป็นส่วนตัวโดยการเพิ่มทางเลือกการตั้งค่า Tracking หรือ Do Not Track (DNT) เป็น 3 สถานะจากที่มีเพียง 2 สถานะในเวอร์ชันก่อนหน้า

Firefox 21 ยังปรับปรุงการประมวลผลกราฟิกให้มีประสิทธิภาพเพิ่มขึ้น ให้คำแนะนำวิธีเพิ่มความเร็วในการเริ่มต้นการทำงาน (กรณีจำเป็น) เพิ่ม Firefox Health Report (ขั้นต้น) สำหรับรายงานสุขภาพของโปรแกรม และอนุญาตให้ผู้ใช้ทำการกู้คืนภาพตัวอย่างที่ถูกลบบนหน้าแท็บใหม่ได้

Firefox 21 ขยายการสนับสนุน Social API กับผู้ให้บริการเพิ่ม 4 ราย คือ Mixi และ Weibo, msnNOW และ Cliqz และยังปรับปรุง/เพิ่มคุณลักษณะในด้านการพัฒนาเว็บและ HTML5 อีกหลายอย่างด้วยกัน นอกจากนี้ ยังปรับปรุงช่องโหว่ความปลอดภัยที่ทำให้ผู้ใช้เสี่ยงต่อการโจมตีจากมัลแวร์ 8 จุด แบ่งเป็นช่องโหว่ความปลอดภัยวิกฤต 3 จุด, ช่องโหว่ความปลอดภัยรุนแรงสูง 4 จุด และช่องโหว่ความปลอดภัยรุนแรงปานกลาง 1 จุด อีกด้วย

ตั้งค่า Do Not Track (DNT) ได้ 3 สถานะ
ภาพด้านล่างเป็นหน้า Options ของ Firefox 21 ซึ่งผู้ใช้สามารถเลือกตั้งค่าในหัวขอ Tracking ได้ 3 สถานะ คือ "Tell sites that I do not want to be tacked", "Tell sites that I want to be tacked" และ "Do not tell sites anything about my tracking preferences" (ค่าเริ่มต้น)

การอัพเดท Firefox 21 Final
สำหรับผู้ที่ใช้ Firefox 20.0.1 หรือเก่ากว่าสามารถทำการอัพเดทเป็น Firefox 21 ได้โดยจากหน้าต่างโปรแกรม Firefox ให้คลิก Firefox Button จากนั้นเลื่อนเคอร์เซอร์เม้าส์ไปชี้บน Help (หรือกดปุ่ม Alt แล้วคลิกเมนู Help) จากนั้นคลิก About Firefox แล้วคลิก Check for Updates รอจนโปรแกรมทำงานแล้วเสร็จจากนั้นให้คลิก Apply Update ซึ่งจะเป็นการรีสตาร์ทโปรแกรม Firefox เพื่อให้การอัพเดทเสร็จสมบูรณ์
