การปรับปรุงการทำงานใน Windows 7 Service Pack 1

ไมโครซอฟท์กำลังจะเปิดให้ดาวน์โหลด Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) ในอีกไม่กี่ชั่วโมงนับจากนี้ ซึ่ง SP1 เป็นการอัพเดทสำคัญ Windows 7 ซึ่งรวมอัพเดทสำหรับปรับปรุงด้านความปลอดภัย (Security), ประสิทธิภาพการทำงาน (Performance) และเสถียรภาพและความน่าเชื่อถือในการทำงาน (Stability and reliability) ที่ออกหลังจากการออก Windows 7 General Availability (GA) เมื่อวันที่ 22 ตุลาคม 2552 จำนวน 970 อัพเดท (ฮอตฟิกซ์ 893 ตัว อัพเดทด้านความปลอดภัย 77 อัพเดท)

สำหรับความเปลี่ยนแปลงใน Windows 7 SP1 มีดังต่อไปนี้

Improvements in Performance
เนื่องจาก Windows 7 SP1 ไม่ได้มุ่งเน้นการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการทำงาน ทำให้มีการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการทำงานเพียงเล็กน้อย (อ้างอิงจากเอกสารประกอบของ SP1) คือ การเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการเชื่อมต่ออุปกรณ์ผ่านทางพอร์ต HDMI

Improvements in stability and reliability
Windows 7 SP1 มีการปรับปรุงเสถียรภาพและความน่าเชื่อถือของคุณสมบัติและบริการของ Windows 7 หลายอย่าง เช่น เพิ่มความน่าเชื่อถือในการเชื่อมต่อกับเครื่องเสียงผ่านทางพอร์ต HDMI, การพิมพ์งานด้วยโปรแกรม XPS Viewer และการกู้คืนโฟลเดอร์ก่อนหน้าเมื่อทำการรีสตาร์ท Windows Explorer เป็นต้น

Improvements in security
